Songs I liked:

Aching Resolve - Song is perfect for what it is trying to convey in verbatim; a grand adventure.

Peculiar - Love that sound design

Rotting Wasteyard - This track isn’t too complicated in terms of composition but I think that’s what makes it perfect for this track. This would be the exact song I would imagine playing in a wasteland zone.

Rotting Treasures! - This one is my favorite so far. The composition is amazing and the instruments work together really well. Sounds like some sort of fight or battle theme.

Land of Opportunities - I mean this in the best way possible, but this track reminds me a lot of Undertale and Omori’s soundtracks respectively. Definitely overtakes Rotting Treasures as my favorite.

Jumble of Skills - This one stood out to me a lot. I wasn’t expecting the song to develop how it did.

Vapor Crave - Really liked the production for this one

Cure for the World! - I really fw the “imperial” vibe this song gives off, the snare drums play a huge role in that.

A… Ruthful Storm!! - Love the jazzy atmosphere of the song along with the synths. It feels like an infusion of jazz and electronic music.

Rocket Sprint - I like the vocals near the end

Lowkey Evil - This one stood out to me because of how energetic and fast-paced it was. The composition was also amazing

One True Saviour - Really creative use of a sample, it fits the atmosphere of the song perfectly

TUPoD, BFtWoT - Setting aside the descriptive title, the song itself did a good job at telling giving me the feeling that something has gone wrong, or that a turning point in the game has happened.

Bye Bye, Forever - This one gives off a very ethereal/ephemeral feeling that I really appreciate

After reading the doc:

I can’t help but say that the songs completely fit the story and what I would be imagining in those scenarios. The OST adds a lot of “character” to the story that wouldn’t have been there otherwise. Went back to a lot of the songs and noticed the leitmotifs, which was also a nice touch. The ending with Matrix coming with that excuse and finally explaining why “Trip to Tahiti” is in the title was great as well.

Overall, what I found to be this OST’s strongest point was its sound quality/selection. After having understood the story behind this album, this would definitely be a game I’d play if it were real. The soundtrack would only elevate the gameplay, of course. The artwork, music, and the story made it very prevalent to me that a lot of passion was put into this project. I also really liked every track based in the Backwaters. Especially Overripe and Crestfallen.
