Very well done, everything comes together for a cohesive experience!

I had a sense of where the story was going to go before the final scene, it was very somber but hopeful.

Introducing more mechanics as the levels progressed by unlocking them (through fruit!) works very well.

The dash has much tighter control than I originally expected it to, I was able to use it effectively without overshooting small areas I was aiming for.

The quills are super strong and somewhat trivialize enemies.

The thorn shot looks really impressive, I was surprised it didn't also damage enemies. It works well when jumping directly up to easily place one directly beneath you. However, it can be a bit awkward in any other circumstances; I sometimes had trouble going from side to side of a chasm. I also managed to accidentally place one directly above me which completely trapped me in place, so it's a good thing they're temporary. :)

It’s not actually a very deep story, but it was something I wanted to get out of my system. Back in 2019–2020, I saw some images of animals that died in the wildfires in Australia. There was a picture of a mother and baby hedgehog that had died in the fire. I’m not usually a sensitive person, but that image really affected me. This game is just an alternative where that baby hedgehog didn’t die.

Your feedback means a lot to me. I wanted the game to be not especially difficult, but something that can be completed. Unfortunately, I couldn’t spend enough time on playtesting because I was trying to finish all the content. Thank you for paying attention to all these details and for playing my game.
