Thanks for playing!! I wrote it that way cause it's inspired by surrealism and stream-of-consiousness, as well as being inspired by my favorite director of all time, Satoshi Kon, I really recommend his stuff if you haven't seen/read it!!
and yeah it's self insert because the game is autobiographical ehehee, It's okay if it's not your cup of tea, but don't be deterred from experiencing more works like this because of me! I'm sure there's one that will resonate with you :3
I definitely felt that "stream-of-consciousness" vibe with the writing lol, I guess it only got hard for me because I really loved the dream-like experiences they were experiencing but when they'd do more ADHD ramblings I'd be like "oh here we go again" hahaha. Which I didn't know it actually was a self insert based on what you said I was just assuming, so in that case I mean hey, I love that it's an expression of yourself.
Also Satoshi Kon is my favorite director of all time, I even have the limited edition maromi plush sitting on my desk and is my pfp on most social media's usually. He inspires my approach alot to art and I love that he's doing that with you too. LET SATOSHI KON'S WORK RESSURECT THE ART WORLD OF DREAMLIKE EXPERIENCES!
