Nice effort. Reminds me of some older platformers.

I have 2 problems that I feel affect the experience a lot.

  • When you jump on enemies, the screen shakes a lot, to an unnatural point. It makes the player eager to avoid them instead of jumping on them which kills a MAJOR fun part of the game.
  • I think the butterflies are not giving enough boost? I am unable to collect all of the starts

The graphics are very cute!

Thank you for your review! About the camera shake, I added it intentionally to create a stronger sense of impact, but maybe it didn’t work equally well for every player.

As for the dragonfly boost, you need to press jump to gain extra height, so the boost becomes stronger if you hold the jump button right after colliding with the enemy. I’ll think about ways to improve that mechanic!
