Very nice effort there then!!!!
No, I totally understand the feeling. Jams are a lot of fun, but it’s natural to feel disappointed if you don’t get the results you were expecting. I always try to keep my expectations low, but I still feel sad for a while, even when I try not to think too much about it. And that’s completely natural! When you pour all your effort into something, of course you expect something in return.
Btw I was not accusing you for AI usage, I basically requested you to try to create a proper thumbnail before the Jam is over, because the current one is very simple and it won't attract enough clicks which is a shame cause this is a really cool game!😆
I feel like this game is more special than your previous games and you feel it as well! So definitely work on it a bit more after the Jam. It won't change the 2D platformer world, but I think it can definitely earn you some bucks if you price it properly.
Thank you a lot for your honest feedback.
Reviews like this are one of the reasons that I enjoy jams and creating stuff in general.
You have motivated me to work on the final version at some point in the future, as I also feel that there is a lot of potential with the game, even if I didn't manage to show it in the Jam. It was honestly a pain to make. The first few days were wasted trying to figure out the physics joins and weird physics errors/bugs, dunno how to call them, and because I didn't have enough time, I was trying to work on it from my actual job as well.
The final version will definitely have customisable controls, even if I have no idea why the separate NumPad isn't working. Will need to check it out when I implement them!
AceDummy, I'm writing this with all my love and hate at the same time.
I don't know how you managed to create this brilliant game in 1 week, whether you had the assets ready from before or if you made them in the same week. If you honestly did so, you are either too talented or have a ton of experience. This is honestly exceptional work, from the art to the collisions and to the stage design. Some points were really hard with the checkpoints you put, hard but manageable.
Which makes me even more furious when I see the thumbnail that you've chosen. Do you know that I was going to skip the game because of it? And this is probably not just me... Many players probably did so!!!!!!! It shows absolutely nothing about the game T-T
Please do all of us a favor and show the chick on it or something, make it a bit more interesting without using AI for the few days that you have left. We have 3 days left, and as of now, this game only has 8 reviews!!!! Go comment somewhere, and have people find out about your gem of a game!
Gdevelop devs will probably discover it, and I hope that they will, but whoah more people need to check it out.
.
Aside from that, I want people to get as angry as me
After 30 minutes, I reached the top, I think, and look what happened...
I even refreshed the page, but I still can't proceed. If I could actually finish the game, this is probably the Jam winner for me.
Makes me wonder if you are trolling all of us 🫡🫡
EDIT: After desperately dragging the bird, I managed to jump 2-3 platforms, but then the jump height is not high enough to take me to the top... Am I missing something?
Thank you! I thought this was the correct way, but for some reason, I wasn't able to do this on my work PC. Did this on the first try when I arrived home (Maybe it has to do with confidence :P)
I don't want to see stage 8 in my life again (Did it after 20+ tries)
Very good game, I can see this getting a full release at some point

Nice effort. Reminds me of some older platformers.
I have 2 problems that I feel affect the experience a lot.
- When you jump on enemies, the screen shakes a lot, to an unnatural point. It makes the player eager to avoid them instead of jumping on them which kills a MAJOR fun part of the game.
- I think the butterflies are not giving enough boost? I am unable to collect all of the starts
The graphics are very cute!
Upon reaching the end, I showed my dominance by kicking the little penguin to his doom and then honking penguin songs of glory.
Definitely would do it again.
For a secret ending, I would have loved the ability to kick the glasses penguin as well.
The penguin sounds are really fun. How did you make them?

Notice how I didn’t write anything else about the game? That’s because I don’t have to. It’s already great for what it is!
Wishing I want the coin to come back right when you throw it is honestly hilarious
Smart concept with nice graphics. The walls were a bit confusing at times, I wasn't sure if I could pass through the or no.
I admit I got a bit frustrated at times, but I was pushing to complete it. Unfortunately at some point I got stuck here, and I was unable to move no mater what I did.

At this point I couldn't bother anymore xD
Saving the checkpoints in the storage would have allowed me to complete the game after reloading the page but unfortunately the progress is lost.
Nice unique entry anyway!
As a very mediocre runner, I relate a lot to Momo and their love for bananas.
Very cute art style and I appreciate the different game over screens. Since this is a very simple game, I felt that it needed some sound effects and a bit more game juice when collecting bananas, maybe some particles, or have them turn into banana peels.
Really curious on how you made the grid like movement
Crazy art style. I could tell this was going to be interesting from the thumbnail. Did you draw the assets on paper and scanned them or are all digital?
While I appreciate the style, a tutorial at the beginning and a faster movement speed would have done wonders to the game. (A bit too slow for my liking) For example at the beginning I wasn't sure that I should press A near the mailbox.
The vast greediness of some people will never cease to surprise me.
Take Leonzable, for example. They took all of this juice and put it into this game to the point where it overflows... There is nothing left for us!!!
In other words, brilliant job with the game.
I finished it surprisingly quickly. The gameplay and graphics, indicators etc just hit the right spot.
