Well stated. I often see both players and devs alike shaming and lamenting visual novels so it's cool to come across a nice post about them for once. ( me being biased because Ren'Py became my main engine this year 😝)
I'm convinced folks who hate visual novels just haven't seen the one that'll convert them yet. I often wonder if other mediums faced this type of rejection as they popularized.
