Okay, maybe you had other wires connected at the same time that caused it OR then there was a bug for that combination for some reason. I will try to check if I can reproduce that kind of bug and patch it after jam.
I thought to not have too much instructions for simple jam game like this so that player can have fun when trying to find the logic how everything works. Unfortunately the issue you was having was not a great experience.
