Simple gameplay but the idea was neat. The game was elevated by AI voice and graphics than if it didn't have any, but it just made me feel icky for some reason.

Thanks for the honest feedback 😄 And yeah, I totally get that AI-generated voices/art can feel weird or uncanny to some people. It’s also hard to fully control everything AI creates, especially in a short jam project.
Also, I’m curious — what exactly made it feel “icky” to you? Was it the voice acting, the visuals, or more just the general use of AI?
I'm not one of those noisy ai hater karens but I would still prefer if the art I'm consuming isn't heavily obvious AI slop. I know this game still took some considerable effort to put together but idk unedited AI just makes me feel like that's not the case. Perhaps if you generated with a unique artstyle that would've been better.
Yeah, honestly I’ve been thinking about that too 😄 If I had the skills or resources, I’d definitely prefer visuals made specifically for the game and its world. But I can’t really make art myself, and for this jam I mostly relied on what GPT could generate. I also chose not to spend too much of the week fighting with visuals, because I wanted to focus more on actually finishing the gameplay and the whole experience.
Also, this jam is actually one of the few I’ve seen so far that openly allows AI usage, so for me it was kind of a unique chance to really test AI-assisted gamedev in practice .
