I like the effort put into the "cinematic" dialogue stuff (the framing effect and everything)! I got a bit lost on the big map, maybe a minimap would help? Cool game!

I thought about a minimap, but with a pretty big scope already, I didn't think I would be able to get it included in time so didn't bother this time.  I was already including a few experiments into this game, any more and it would have been more of a mess than it already is.

The cutscenes were manually done and kept simple, show/hide sprites, show/hide screen textures etc, and timed or triggered to work together.  I was wanting to try and create a cutscene system, but as time progressed I had to rethink that idea, cut the number of scenes down to the minimum and forget about a full system.

While the dialogue system works, it's missing a couple of features I wanted to include, like options or branching on the user side, and a better way to load or configure dialogue in the editor.
