I wish I could preemptively say what I want to do before I let the NPCs talk, like I want to be the one to say "Hi, what are you up to" or come up to an NPC and shout boo or something.  Or if I could start the interaction on two NPCs and say that I eavesdrop, or have some other set up to initiate the conversation, like "*I go up to Gareth covered in slime and bruises, tired and beaten, and put a couple coins on the counter*1 ale please".  Heck, I want to make a grand entrance and say that I cartwheel into the room.

I worked around the current method by saying "*Actually, I spot Hayden and Rosalyn talking and eavesdrop out of sight*" and the AI actually took it and changed the starting dialogue.

Oh and also, the stats gauges in the upper right corner and in the menu are arranged differently.  It's confusing until I examine the colors more closely.

Parrying feels wrong.  It needs more feedback to show it's working.
Keep at it!  It's great.

That subject was brought up before a few times in the past.
I might be mistaken but I recall it was said to be impossible to do because of the initial lookups the LLM needs to make to set itself up for further inputs.
So initiating conversation as the player might be impossible to achieve if it hasn't changed in any ways since then.

It's not impossible, but back in Nemo days it was very beneficial to have the AI take the first turn. It might be different now with Gemma 4.

Oh nice, if it does work now that's something that'd be neat.

If I could Right-click and "Initiate Conversation" To hog the context post of a dialogue I would love that, or even hit the U while within range of an NPC to Initiate Dialogue, that would be a game changer when I've just barely missed talking to Orson while he's on his way out of town.

I've learned the parry system pretty well, so it's not the end of the world if it doesn't change for me... although that window of time to answer thing really doesn't teach you much except that over time, it mostly only works when you respond between like 15% of the bar left to go and 40%. But it moves at different speeds and is a pain to track, so I might be off the mark there.

Stats wise, I would trade my bars for numbers any day 100/100, 80/80 etc. Everything ticking down as it gets worse but also letting me math how desperately I need to crawl back to the bath house before I lose my damn mind, without opening the whole stat page.

Loving the Discord. Good people all around.
