I won’t say much to avoid spoiling, but rest assured that there is no content like what you’re describing in the game, and it’s also not something I would personally write in most cases (as I don’t think I’m equipped to handle such topics in a sensitive manner). Everything that I think could be potentially triggering or questionable is listed in the content warnings, which is available both in game and through the link above on the game page (I will say that this is one of my “lightest” games in terms of questionable content! 😂)
That said, I would appreciate not leaving aggressive comments implying that myself or my players are “not in the right mind.” All content is appropriately labeled so that players can play at their own discretion, and I don’t tolerate that lack of respect towards my work or the people who enjoy it. I didnt accuse u of anything since I dont know the full context, but based on what u hv written the doubts that arised are ones that make sense to arise, but ofc since nobody would actually publicly make these on itchio, i asked the question and said to make clear in the end. Accusing someone of “not being in the right mind” based on one sentence in the synopsis, for a game you have not played and know nothing about, reads as disrespectful to me, although I understand that you didn’t intend it as such. I’ve been called a variety of things during my time as game developer, which is fine and something to be expected, but broadening it to “everyone who enjoys this game is not in the right mind” is not something I tolerate, especially because I want my comment sections to be safe spaces for my players to share opinions about the game.
That said - regarding your question, for the short answer: the man who has been following you is exactly your age. So when you knew each other as kids, he was a kid. I wanted to make it clear that the love interest in this game is a man for the synopsis, so I didn’t want to use “person,” and “boy” would also be inaccurate, so I went with “man.” All of this is cleared up in the first ten minutes of the game, so it’s never been an issue with players, but I’m sorry for the misunderstanding regardless.
