Might I suggest adding 1 slot for every species you unlock? Because, uh, otherwise you're actually shooting yourself in the foot each time you unlock a new species.
Unlocking a new species isn't shooting yourself in the foot—it's just an excuse to make you dive deeper into the dispatch tech tree. There are plenty of capacity upgrades waiting in there; you just gotta work for your extra slots instead of getting them handed out for free! 😉
