New feature idea for PixelForge

PixelForge is amazing for pixel fonts, but once users start doing precision glyph design (icons, symbols, fonts, UI elements), the current grid system becomes limiting. Adding advanced grid overlays and alignment tools would massively improve accuracy, workflow speed, and creative control. Something like on this image would be great - you have: borders, center and some more configurable "rulers". I would also like this to be configurable in settings for each font.

Hi, thanks for the feedback!

I did think about having the option for defining some horizontal/vertical lines for each font at specific coordinates, to be displayed on the grid at all times. Is that what you’re thinking of? Do you have any examples of other apps that have what you’re thinking of, for reference?

I think it would also be useful to have a transparent reference of a user-defined system font to follow as a reference, in addition to a standard guides at certain heights system.

You can check bitfontmaker 2 for reference on how they implemented it, I use that feature very often. https://www.pentacom.jp/pentacom/bitfontmaker2/
