It's difficult to articulate all the ways this experience made me feel, and I'm not sure I can add much to the conversation.
In lieu of explaining my feelings, I will instead say: the moment I heard the description of the cobalt belt, one of the first things on my mind was Shimeji Simulation (though, also Evangelion to be frank), and I think I was correct based on the credits; to my eye, the way in which you adapt/interpret/expand on the themes from tkmiz's work is beautiful. (To be clear, your work very distinctly has a life of it's own and much to say beyond-- I just wanted to make a passing comment on it, since it's a particular personal connection I haven't yet seen in the comments.)
