I think you should reconsider your approach...
I understand that you like 8-bit music, and it’s fine to follow your heart to a certain extent, but if you want to make a living from it, you need to do some market research as well...
8-bit music is a bet on nostalgia, and not just any nostalgia:
it’s the nostalgia of a generation that currently doesn’t have time to play even if they wanted to (and often doesn’t even want to anymore), and in another 20 or 30 years, they’ll start to die or become senile.
Okay, I admit that I also work with a niche market, but at least it doesn't have an expiration date.
In fact, that's exactly why I'm telling you this. I work in a niche market, so I know how tough it is. You have to be strategic or you won't make ends meet.
