I wanted to write a review after finishing the entire game.
(By the way having to get all the endings for the secret route I obviously developped the new habit to get ALL the ending even for the secret one... That was sneaky.)
Anyway I LOVE the game !
Dear authors creating games for us, sometimes we just need straightforward games like this one. Don't agonize over some details, we love being able to play our heart's content with complete games. Some times just go with the flow ~.
For potential players : the demo is a good one. You get a real taste of the entire game, you'll get the same kind of CGS and vibes so really if you liked the demo but are hesitating because of the price or something else know the full game is better. Little plus : no loose endings, everything gets an explanation if you play all the routes and endings.
Now the routes :
I'm the kind of player who always get the good ending and never the bad ones. What can I say ? I love HE not BE. At least you get enough clues to get the bad ones before really going for the good ones. Playing the good ones first and having to plays the bad ones after just to get the secret route would be too disheartening so the clues were more than welcome <3.
Vitale is my fave. Like so, so, so, so much. I LOVE HIM ! Maybe it's afterthought about playing all routes but I think he should actually probably be THE secret route. Even after playing Eros route I thought we got more secrets and explanations with Vitale. And the chaos end with Eros well... Vitale really would have been perfect as the secret route.
Icardy is the sweet one. I fell at first for our good Dr, I loved his route the second best, but then Vitale made his way and just won the entire game. I have to say even in the demo his first part was the mysterious one and made me so curious at the time. Between his domain and everything we learn about him, MC's past with him, and how he ends (almost like he has as much endings as Mel) I almost feel like he was the most thought character. It's unfair to the others who are complex and have background stories too. But maybe it's some kind of parallelism with Mel. At the end of the day I loved to learn what kind of god he was <3.
Let's not forget Dr Love, as much as I could write much more about Vitale, he deserves some love too. Sometimes it's just enough to be the most balanced one. I loved his protective side too. It was just a little sad to not see him free of the curse (physically so like before the curse ) but at least we could see him before in a 'past', he was so cute (and the original color of his hair whoa, I never thought I could like it on a character) ~.
I also wanted to say a big thank you for, even though talking and describing so much toxic relationships (people recognizing their own in it please run or ask for help) you also described healthy ones. Being with Grandma or with Marlowe and between Marlowe and Esmond. That's the goal. That's healthy people ! I really loved them and I loved the beginning of the friendship between Mel and Esmond.
I'm not gonna describe the most toxic one because we all know who. Actually we could probably choose a top 3 but this game is at the same time a reminde rand fun to play. I really, really liked it. Thank you dear author <3 ~. I don't know exactly how long it took from you, I don't even know if you would envisage to create one day another game but I'll be definitely curious about your next projects !
Ps : I always thought with all these death endings. Could Thanatos be actually having a crush on Mel ? Is it me or just ... because that CG too... No ?
