Thank you for leaving your thoughts! I'm glad you found the game enjoyable so far! (Q v Q )/
Honestly, that was my goal when telling the story of To Kill Eros! While I enjoy my fair share of simple stories and tropes, I really love complex character-driven stories and ideological discussions too! So I wanted to try my hand at it with this one! (^ v ^ )
I can't say much for my experience with Otome games, as most of what I have played myself may fall into things that may not be exactly to your preference, but I do believe there are gems out there! Especially here in the indie scene. It's not an indie otome title, but if you haven't played it, one of my inspirations while writing this was a game called Virche Evermore. I found the overall premise to be very interesting.
And if you're looking for a BL game, I'd also recommend Slow Damage, which was another inspiration of mine! The depth of its story really invested me! It includes quite heavy topics, though.
My rambling aside, thanks again for commenting! I'll be making a form to receive feedback once the game is complete, but if you'd like to email me your thoughts currently, you can do so here: dokirakii123@gmail.com. (> v <)/
Hello, and thank you for playing! I'm glad to hear you love it! (Q V Q) I've found that you must start a new game for Vitale's route to reveal itself. A notification will appear at the start of the new story if his route is unlocked. If it doesn't occur (and it only mentions one of the other two routes as completed), it hasn't registered one of the other two as completed yet.
To ensure that it reads both as completed, I saved at the choice menus and let each choice run to the end using skip, then saved the game as prompted in a different slot, loaded from the last choice, and repeated. I believe you can re-enter a choice menu by hitting back if you save shortly after. And if the regular skip isn't working, you can access "skip unseen text" in the options menu!
Sorry for the trouble, and I hope this helps! (T v T )
Ah, I'm so sorry about that! I don't know much about currencies in other places, such as how to determine if something is too expensive, but I can research it by the time it's released to see if I need to make any adjustments. Still, I'm glad you'd like it and hope that you get to play the full version! (T v T ) ♡
Hehe! Thank you so much! Yes, Slow Damage is actually one of my favorite VNs! I could gush about it forever, tbh! LOL (T V T )
Definitely not weird in my book! That's a fun and interesting pairing I've thought about, too! The two of them offer a lot to explore in their dynamics. It could very well be a twisted win for Melrose or easily an absolute disaster. 😂
WAAAAH! Thank you so much for checking it out! (I saw her playthrough as well!! It was very entertaining! (Q v Q))
No worries, I don't think you're being nosy at all! This is such a sweet and helpful comment. Honestly, I had a lot more fears coming into this after hearing about the recent payment processor issues. (This is still a lot more reception than I've received on any of my other projects, so I'm practically buzzing with excitement over it. But yes, I would love for more people to find and try it too if it's their cup of tea, hehe!) I've realized my game was delisted only after you mentioned it. So, I'm thankful for your advice! I'll test it out and hope that it fixes itself! (T V T ) ♡
That's so strange. (Q 3 Q ) I did the same thing, but it's unlocking for me. It's possible the game isn't retaining the persistent data for one of their routes. I will try my best to help! Here are some methods you could try. Please let me know if either helped! (q w q )
1) If you haven't already, try using the skip feature to run through both Icardi and Dr. Love's routes, completing both their endings A+B, and then try to replay again.
2) Delete everything (all saves + persistent) inside the save folder within the To Kill Eros game and the "App Roaming data" related to the game's save file on your computer. Once you've done this, try the first method again to see if it'll unlock this time. There is a toggle to "Skip Unseen Text" in the options menu so that you don't have to read through everything again.
- To clear from your Windows drive: hit the Windows key + r. Type %appdata% in the prompt and locate the RenPy folder. Then go into "To Kill Eros" and delete everything in the save folder.
- To clear from Mac: open Finder, press the Option (Alt) key, and click on the Go menu. Select Library, then open the Application Support folder. Find "To Kill Eros", though, you may need to find RenPy first. Either delete the game's entire folder or go into the save folder and manually delete everything in it (all saves + persistent). (Note: I don't own a Mac computer, so this is just what I found from Google searching.)
3) Re-download and extract the file again. Sometimes, files can corrupt themselves while downloading and extracting for various reasons. So, it's worth a shot just to try.
If none of these helped, I'll be releasing another V.1.2 with some minor grammar fixes and corrections soon. So, I'll likely use that opportunity to ask another programmer to look over it with me.
Hopefully, this can potentially help others who may experience the issue in the meantime. Sorry for the trouble, once again. (T v T )/
AAA Thank you for playing!! I'm excited to build the next update! I'm so happy you love him! (> V < ) <3
And damn this bug~! (> 3 < ) Did you receive the notification that his route unlocked after completing Icardi's & Dr. Love's, only to see that it wasn't? Or was there no notification during your last play-through at all?
I tried playing again to see if I could get the bug, but I couldn't... If you still remember what you did for it to occur (for instance, if you saved and hit return at the end or loaded another file before going to the main menu, etc.), please let me know! (Q v Q)/
Thank you so much for playing! I'm glad you're enjoying it! (> v < )/ Have you viewed both endings for the two choices featured in Icardi's and Dr. Love's routes? If so, then his route should unlock. However, if that isn't the case, then a bug might have occurred! I will look into this right away!
For the influence choices, I'll add a note to explain them better in-game. Essentially, depending on the context of the moment, choosing either option results in receiving an ending or having the story continue. (Story continuation is currently not in this demo, but will be accessible in Demo V.2.0) So, it's a guess based on the feeling of what's happening and the words said before the choice. For example, positively influencing Melrose may not always result in a "positive" response and may lead to him doing something bad or having a bad outcome. The same can apply while negatively influencing him.
Hopefully, this helps, and thanks for the feedback! (Q v Q )
