Okay after watching a lets play I can confirm that its not bullshit. for some reason my character is slower then cobb for no reason specifically for me, meaning I physically cannot beat the game as the ending expects you to survive until he dies, which I cannot do because hes so much faster then me...
I think this game might be fun if it actually worked for my device...
The trick with smell is to try and not get chased in the first place, which you can do in the final level if you try baiting him around the map and listen to his position.
Cobb (and your) speed change every level, and a recent update also changed how his movement worked a little to encourage stealth more. That’s probably why it looks different in a let’s play.
