First of all, thank you for taking the time to play the game!
Most of the issues you mention running into are things that would've come up during playtesting, which is something I unfortunately don't have access to. I can only playtest myself, and at some point I will simply not experience the game the way a new player would. It's been valuable seeing your complaints, as I do always try to avoid making games that play themselves. Emphasis on try. There's always more to learn and you've given me a lot to consider (the video you shared did, too).
