This is really cute. Not like artificial baby Yoda cute. This reminds me of Craig of the Creek. You could easily make a Creek version. When you said there are people in a truck shouting religious things I immediately pictured four dude bros shouting "Jesus is with you" and "He would not test you if it didn't make you stronger" as they didn't even consider slowing down. I can not picture anyone in this game as anything other than wholesome. I would not say this is short it is concise. It paints a very vivid picture. If I had one complaint, and I do, it is that the stats are not body mind and charm despite obviously being body mind and charm. And you need a D10 to roll your items but a D10 is not listed as one of the dice you need. 10/10.

Thank you for the kind words and the excellent feedback! I thought about this game for a very long time before I finally sat down and made it. I think with the D10 thing... I had 8 and then added 2 more, never went back and added the D10. Very much the kind of thing I tend to miss! :-D And, I hear you, Mind/Body/Charm is cleaner. Very good input. I will get around to adding those adjustments at some point, for sure.
I'm so happy you picked up on all the imagery and vibes I was going for. I've never heard of Craig of the Creek but I'm thinking now it might be something I'd enjoy. Rock on!
