I had some similar ideas about a guard myself, but for the sake of getting things complete for the jam decided to put it on the backburner. There are definitely some balance changes I would like to make, probably after the rating period ends since I don't want to be unfair (make fishing a bit easier, reduce number of enemies in galaga and reduce player hitbox size).
