Really fun and cute story. There's a light but innescapable layer of anxiety hanging over the whole thing. Adelaide's thoughts read a bit like a panicked animal of some kind.... it's very cute how she didn't want to be thought of as a cat but came around it in the end wahhhh.... I also liked Eva being so persistent in coaxing her out, they're both weird in the right ways for each other and I thought the tension came across well there. Thank you for this...
