I actually got the game to run! Luckily I have a pretty powerful computer, so it may just be a matter of having a good enough computer. As for the game, it's functional, but not very polished.

While the characters do have facial expressions that match what's being said the rest of their bodies are pretty stiff. Also, despite the name tags, it can be a little difficult to know who is talking, especially since so many characters get introduced so quickly. One thing that could improve both of these points it is more camera work. Have the camera zoom in on who is talking and have it change focus during the course of the conversation.

The plot's execution could use some work. Like, one character is secretly a prince. But others seem to know he's a prince? It's not clear who knows this and who doesn't, but the fact that someone calls it out early really undercuts the concept.

Character movement is floaty. The character keeps moving even after I stop pressing the arrow keys. The character's animation does stop when I stop pressing the arrow key, so it seems like there's some element not set correctly.

The battles are oddly balanced. The only character that seems to do meaningful damage is the sorceress; everyone else does middling damage.

I went to a town and went into an inn. The cutscene that played seemed to be out of order because the characters said they were "duked" (should be duped) by the sorceress, but when I went to another building the sorceress grabbed her map and left the party. I then got stuck in the side of a building as seen in my screenshot.

So, this is a good proof-of-concept that shows you know how to do some things with this engine, but it needs more polish to be an enjoyable experience.

Thank you KV. I totally agree with you. I can set up more motions so that the characters are not stiff.  I'll ask on the RPG Developer Bakin server how to prevent slipping when not using the arrow keys or control stick.
