I beat the boss in Normal and ended with something like 955 points, then played again and got destroyed with a bit more than 1000.
This is pretty cool, and I don't mean as a first game. The game looks good, I really like the explosion feedback, it controls well and feels good with catchy sound feedbacks (although the one when you lose is a bit hard to the ears). The game is perfectly paced, destroying these ships which are a real threat yet die in one hit is satisfying and so is the right click ability. Besides the game ends with a cool boss fight and I really like the way the boss is balanced, its patterns are barely manageable and you die in one hit but then it doesn't have a lot of health, once again the game is fast and punchy, I like that. Finally the difficulty is perfect for the jam, in normal for me but all the more as you've got difficulty settings.
