Nice entry, I really enjoyed it. The game got reaaaaally out of hand quickly after I picked up a single power-up and a horde of angry squares started sprinting at me with the speed of light XD
Hahah yeah, while the healing items lower the heat and thus the speed of the cubes, it really is missing balancing overall. One of the things I unfortunately didn't have time to do before the deadline.
