Very much fits the theme! Your composition is super thorough and detailed. I see in the comments you aren't as familiar with crafting your own sound design, which is fine (your sound selection was already super solid), but hearing the same metal hit and slice foley pulled me a bit out of the scene. I think you did a good job with mixing the volume of the tracks but I think you could make some more progress in that area of things. At least maybe a bus for the foley and sfx to give them some glue and cohesion. I think you absolutely locked in on the theme and your production is super solid. Looking forward to seeing you in the next one!

Thank you so much for taking the time to listen to my track and leave such thoughtful feedback, it really means a lot to me. I truly appreciate the kind words and the advice as well, especially regarding the foley/SFX cohesion and the use of buses. Those are things I definitely want to improve on moving forward.
My background is mainly in classical piano, and I’ve only recently started exploring this side of music production and sound design. I’ve always been passionate about video game and film music though, so these jams have been a really fun way for me to explore that world.
Thanks again for the encouragement, and I’m looking forward to the next jam too! :)
That definitely makes sense! Like I was saying your composition/production is super rad! For mixing if you wanted to dig in deeper I loved reading Nathan Nyquist' books on mixing. Especially EQ, bus compression, and reverb. These were actual game changers for me, regardless though, you have great ideas!
