Wow! What a track, felt like a whole movie. That introduction was awesome, and your vocals killer. The sound was super professional and full. Kept me entranced all the way through

And in regards to your second comment, thank you haha the OST to both those game are fire. I got everything under Cowchy, including my discord too, if you'd ever wanna collab on a jam or somn. I resonate with your music, I'm sure theres a lot we could learn from each other.

Hey Semaj! Thanks so much for your comment, I was smiling a ton reading it. I appreciate all your praise my friend. "A pleasure to listen to" is all an artist can ask for as I'm sure you know. And btw ur super talented with textures and ambience too, I very much enjoyed your entry.

Hello Einel!!! Thanks for giving my submission a listen. I appreciate everything you said. Id love to hear more of your critiques and advice, I’ll send you a DM!

Keep it up man, mixing n ur ears only get better. Also I guess I didn’t notice before but fr mad respect doing everything on mobile!

Wow the seamless transitions is really well done. These songs remind me of some of the prettiest songs in A Hat in Time. Really lovely. Really captures what you put down in the description! The mix is super clear and solid too, very nice

Hey Blue Lava! Thank you for your comment! All your thoughts really mean a lot, I appreciate you taking the time to listen and process my submission 🙏🙇‍♂️

Cool sound design

Very nice and clean!

I rlly enjoyed Journey. Super cinematic. That rolling bass and splashy synth are very good selection/ sound design. The sound selection as a whole and mixing is very nice. Taking a guess its valhalla supermassive? The tails at 2:40 sound super familiar.

In The Discovery, I needa point out the transition thing u got going on at 1:18 seems really... lacking. Seems like theres gonna be some kind of change but it just goes right back. I rlly like the chord progression on this one though, and the percussion too.

👍

Oh also forgot to add, when doing something based off a theme: be somewhat picky with the sounds you use. If the theme is space, some instruments like a sitar or mandolin or other worldly instruments arent gonna sound very "spacey." Albeit, a piano or strings or an effected guitar can make it work. Just try and keep in mind the atmosphere youre working with when selecting your sounds.

Scoring sheet music is beyond me, respect. Keep it up man

Keep it up man!

Several thoughts on this entry haha, first off thank you for providing 3 formats of submission for each song. Respect. I love that youre running Windows 7 on a Virtual Box, thats the hardest shi i've seen. Also Renoise is new to me, that DAW looks like UI hell so again, respect.

Deep Space Cruise Control was my favorite. Radical grooves, had my ears on edge the whole time.

Keep it up, man! I'd recommend learning about mixing, I noticed some clipping. Theres very many ways to go about it. But I'd suggest starting all the volumes at the bottom and bringing one thing up at a time. That way you can leave some more headroom when it comes to the volume. You dont want it going over 0db especially without a clipper or limiter. Id also recommend tuning your bass to the root note of your chords. Its harder when using loops but its a crucial step in music production. Hope to see you in future jams :)

som interesting sound design. Also as much as I like the mandolin in Crab Nebula, I can't say it fits the space theme. The grungy bass fits the green of the inspiration though

(1 edit)

Not sure what this has to do with the jam considering the cover art and names.

For some reason I had to scroll down to view ur embeded tracks. I like your FL Theme, black and yellow goes hard.

first track sound selection with the synthesque choir and strings reminds me of Radiohead.

Track 2 is actually super beautiful. I love that warlike, cinematic, dramatic atmosphere it has.

IDK what happened to tracks 3 and 4 but 5 is super pretty too. Track 2 definitely my favorite. Out of all the submissions I've heard so far, your track 2 is by far the most up my alley.

This track really grew on me as it played. Very well done man. Its as alive as a track can be to me. 5:40ish lead kinda lost direction imo but it picks back up again. The same lead lick you used at 5 min again around 7 minutes makes more sense with the prior context though. I like the mixing and the direction and flow of the track. Good job man

Peaceful and lovely. Definitely fits the space theme. I like your cover art too

Nice job!

Homeward was especially pleasant.

Keep it up!

So far, my favorite game of the jam! Wished so bad there was an endless mode once, after i beat it with my team. Genuinely got attached to those little guys. They were absolutely demolishing at the end there!

Possibly the best game in the whole Jam

Very fun, good job
