While I haven't played all of the games of the jam, this is probably tied for my favorite gameplay out of all the ones I have. Even when avoiding the crash-prone second inventory expansion, the progression of the upgrades is paced really well, and being able to just cruise through any leftover early blocks after getting the last upgrades feels very satisfying. The character art is really cute, if spread a little thin, (more dialogue would have gone a long way) and I'm always a sucker for a TRON-esque premise. It did take me probably half-a-dozen attempts to get to the end without crashing, though, and that was despite already knowing about the bug with the the second inventory upgrade. That being said, as annoying as the crashes were, ironically, my biggest complaint would actually be the size of the window. Some of the upgrade text was hard to read because it was so small, and it would have been nice to get a closer look at the pretty pictures. ;p One other nitpick is that in the later stages of the game, it would be nice to have some kind of level-design-signposting to help remind the player where the home base is - or maybe just a toggleable arrow? It was never a problem enough to result in fully running out of energy, but once I fully cleared out some areas, there was a minor bit of occasional disorientation. Also, it kinda felt like maybe the pregnancy should progress according to the number of child processes you were currently holding, instead of just your overall progress? All that being said, I'm a big fan of this entry, and while I'd be thrilled if it were to get a post-jam patch, it's still a pretty damn good time as is.

Thanks for the detailed review! It's good to hear the the upgrade progression is paced well since I didn't have time to test. I did want more dialogue during the upgrades, but that also fell victim to running out of time. What size monitor do you have? I have a 2560x1440 monitor, and the text looked okay to me, and I wasn't sure how it would look on other sized monitors. I suppose a home arrow would be useful, I never considered what the map would look like when it was fully cleared out. I did think about having the belly size change based on how many children you're carrying, but 1. I wasn't sure if players might miss out on the last size by just getting 2-3 at a time, and 2. I wanted her boobs and butt to get bigger, and I thought it would look a little strange if those were growing and shrinking too. I'm glad you enjoyed the game! Hopefully this time I can do a post-jam patch (I will at least fix the crashing), since the main thing I wanted to add was more cutscene/dialogue stuff.

I played on my laptop which, according to my settings menu, is 3840 x 2160. Like, I can definitely still read all the text, it's just right on the edge of being too small. If there was maybe a option to double the window size, or fullscreen, that would be really cool, (especially for being able to appreciate the lovely pictures better) but I do understand that I am not a game dev, and that might be significantly easier said than done. Also, especially with that explanation, I can totally respect the choice you made regarding how the preg-ression was implemented. (Also, sorry I wasn't able to provide any crash logs - I didn't think about it until I was most of the way through my successful run.) I'm really looking forward to whatever you do next, whether it's a post-jam patch, or something new!
