I suppose that due to the jam's limited timeframe, there wasn't time to add an ending screen, which is fine! I can imagine the game expanded with more types of flowers and more conditions for them to bloom. I liked it and enjoyed it!
I'm a little confused I think. I'm don't think I undestand the use of the spirit world. Figuring out what soils keep the flowers alive was interesting, but clearly it wasn't enough to win. Would love to get a hint! Also I wish it was possible to make the game fullscreen, or to zoom somehow, because those flowers are super tiny on my screen! 😄
I love the handwritten font and the music. I was a big fan of the consistent color scheme in the main menu. I absolutely love the Spirit World implementation you added. A slight note I have is that the dialog goes by so quickly at the start. Managed to clear the game, didn't understand the game mechanics until I read the comments here. I would love to see a more challenging level and more flower variation!
I managed to make all the flowers bloom! However, I wasn't entirely sure if I had officially cleared the game. It might be even better if there was a clearer 'ending' or a 'thank you for playing' screen to wrap things up.
I hoped no one would notice (but people did):
I know there is a debug print (mouse position in main game at the top) left in there. I was under pressure to submit the game. (And, sadly, 2 out of 3 easter eggs are unable to trigger because I made a mistake)
Hi! The puzzle itself is cute and was fun to try to solve it, I would love to see more levels with less space or more variety of flowers. The issues I had are that 2 of the 3 types of soil are too similar and that the text at the beginning goes too quickly. I had to play it twice to get the win. Still the fact this was done with no engine is already an incredible feat, congratulations on your submission! PD: You forgot to remove the mouse position text, it happens!
I had quite a hard time figuring out what I had to do, considering the first time I missed half the explaining text. I was looking around and it disappeared very quickly
In the end I think I won, but I feel like one of the flowers may have been misplaced, so I'm not sure x)
But it was fun to experiment once I understood what I was aiming to achieve, to pretty fun idea!
