Just wanted to say this was a beautiful and powerful project! I really enjoyed a story that was going to involve a difficult conversation about biphobia and how social media/perceived ideas can be harmful. From the very instant I met Ayla and got to see her experiences, I immediately wanted to hug and protect her from everything she's went through. Even to the point where I was like "back, back I say!" to the LI's because I just wanted my girl to live her truth and be happy w/o strings attached!
I also really liked how we got an in depth view of her job as a singer as well. Not many explore the technicalities for it and I enjoyed the research that went into it, esp when it involved her looking over the lyrics and deciding which to change. Then also singing with Cheri in the duet? OH, that was sooo magical to read! Especially how they have a shared moment in harmony and describing how their voices meshed so well. It almost made me wish they just sat down and had a convo because I was like WAIT NOO CHERI COME BACCKK!!
The only thing I worry a little about was that I couldn't be on Cheri's route unless Ayla decided to withhold the truth about her being bisexual. The route also begins with them being at odds with each other, with Cheri passionately speaking against us online but refusing to speak with us about it in person. The game is obviously not finished so you likely have something cooking in the oven for them but I do hope that Ayla can come forward about her sexuality with Cheri and focus on the romance between them vs the conflict. But of course this is just my feedback based on what we saw of Cheri so this may/will likely change after the full release!
Even with that said, I do appreciate how human all your characters are. Levi, Cheri and Ayla's ex-girlfriend have real flaws and have reasons for their behaviour which means they aren't being forced into a cookie cutter personality type, which gives such a depth to this story that I'm excited to see unfold. Even with Jae, who we had a brief interaction with, he felt so real and down to earth! I loved that our date with him had a type of intimacy that didn't involve a one-night stand but shown what a deeper connection looks like regardless. Very excellent stuff!
