I'm so happy you enjoyed this!! We wanted the game to feel silly, but also heartfelt in the right moments – like a real shoujo magical girl anime!
We are currently investigating how to make the magical girl transformation smoother. 🐈⬛
That was an incredible read Aleema! You've definitely poured the most into this game out of everyone in the team (which is astronomical as everyone else also poured a lot in!) and it made such a difference in the final game. Thank you for all that programming crunch in the eleventh hour without compromising on quality. Your experience and skill is invaluable and I would recommend you to anyone!
As a baby game dev it is very inspirational to work with you hear you talk so lovingly about game dev. Now that I've finally played your other games too, I can see how far you've come both as a dev and in recovery.
It's enthralling to read about all our decision points lol. There were so many decisions that could've led to the game looking like something else! Maybe it would've still been a good game, or maybe we should thank God we chose what we chose... we'll never know. 😂 Either way, I'm happy Mahou Shoujo Santa Claus is the way it is! 🩷 (Sorry for any decisions we came to that caused stress for you 😓)
I'm very glad you enjoyed making this game so much. The passion shines through in every aspect, from the GUI to the staging to the incredibly human character of Rudy.
I look forward to all your future games!
Reading this made me emotional ☺️💕 You've been amazing to work with and Mahou Shoujo Santa Claus wouldn't be the same without your detailed editing and all the laughs you brought to our Discord server! I find it really cool to hear about your experience with studying game dev at a tertiary level and your love for Godot. It's incredible that you're already so involved and your studies aren't even over. I know you'll go far in your career!!
(And likewise!! I would love to draw or write for anything you work on 😁)
These BGs are some of the prettiest I've ever seen in a game jam!! I've been missing Tokyo, so the title of this game caught my eye. I was in the mood for pure fluff.
It was really nice to see some facts about gyaru and lolita as well! I'm also a jfashion enthusiast 💕 I wear tenshi kaiwai! I can tell this game was made by genuine jfashion fans!!
If you want, come check out our game!!

You are literally making my dream otome game. I was able to play this on my Asus Rog Ally handheld by mapping the keys.
This was genuinely so much fun. I can see the inspiration you took from second life manwhas, but it adds to the experience, never detracts. I laughed out loud multiple times at some of the scenes.
The amount of work this must've taken to build as a solo dev... I admire you so much. You deserve every cent of any grant and scholarship you have and will get in the future.
One of the things I appreciated the most was that the world genuinely felt like a university? Like, when I saw the kitchen, it was like going back in time to when I lived in a sharehouse XD

SIMON IS BAE. I hope he receives nothing but joy and happiness and the MC's love.
THIS GAME MADE MY DAY!
I'm the biggest dress up game fan (don't ask me how much I spent to get a version of Love and Berry working in 2023). Getting different endings depending on how you dress Darian is a brilliant concept. Combining that with an abusive LI? Yum.
I tried to make him as subcul as possible. Forgot to take a screenshot. Whoops.
I'm someone who usually goes for the men in otome games first as I prefer them but Jade stole my heart!! Her fashion sense reminds me of gyaru! Does one of the writers work in product management? Because Jade's passion for her career felt very real to read and resonated with me a lot as someone who also works in tech!! The technical terms are all correct too.
The mini games made my day and added to the experience a lot. I love otoge with gameplay.
My bf is Filipino so I am ecstatic to learn the dev team is pinoy!!! I will tell him as soon as he wakes up and we can play Jordan's route together >:)
Can't wait for Michael's route, he caught my eye the most.
Thank you so much for playing the game!! I was incredibly moved to read your comment. It means a lot to hear that Trip and Nabi's story resonated with you on such a personal level. I'm glad it reminded you of someone so dear to you, and that it encouraged you to reach out again.
I wish you and your wife all the best as you work things out together. I'll be here cheering you on!
Thank you so much for playing!! I was worried people won't like the gameplay with the majority of otoge players being VN readers, so I'm happy you found it added to the experience🩷 Nabi as Trip has been my favourite character to write to date hehe.
I chose the colour schemes because I thought girl=pink/lilac and boy=blue would be easier cognitively for the reader XD
I'll check out your games ASAP because you HAVE TASTE!
Hi everyone, I am looking to join a team for this game jam! I can work as an artist or a writer. I would like to draw cute girls and/or ikemen.
Portfolio:
I am not a programmer, so I'm looking to join a team that already has a programmer. I'm not a composer but I can also help curate royalty free sound and music.
Will only join teams with published projects on Itch so I know my art and writing won't go to waste with an unsubmitted game (has happened before...)
