this might be the most 'on theme' track out of all the submissions to me personally. it's got a very pretty melody and develops it carefully and smartly, and while a lot of other compositions also used anvil-hitting sounds (which i'm also guilty of) i feel like this one uses them like an integrated 'instrument' rather than an sfx splash, although i do think they risk overwhelming the melody as the piece continues. i'll also say that the strings could've used some more naturalistic contouring, although i appreciate that's not an easy task. overall a very solid submission

Hey, thanks so much for your comment :)
I really appreciate it, and I’m really glad you enjoyed the piece!
About the hammer/anvil, I see what you mean regarding it. It was actually a deliberate choice: I wanted it to act more like an evolving musical element, connected to Mime’s growing frustration as he fails to reforge the sword, up until his breaking point.
For the rest, especially the strings and pads, I agree they could feel more natural. I’m still quite new to working with VST instruments, so I’ll definitely come back to the track after the jam to refine that.
Thanks again for the thoughtful feedback, it really means a lot!
