iMauri has done great work with the music and art. Unfortunately for me after defeating the first boss the game seems to be stuck. I see in the description that the exit button (the one that looks like a pulsating vein right?) may not work I guess that is the issue. But also I see in the description "3 endings depending on..." <== is that in the jam build or planned for later?

Thank you so much for playing and for the kind words about the music and art, it really means a lot 🙂

Yes, the jam build already includes 3 different endings. Each run can lead somewhere different depending on the cassette you are given during the playthrough.

About the exit button: you understood correctly! There is a fake/broken ending… but it seems it may have broken a little too well 😅 I’m investigating that.

I'm really curious, which ending did you get?

If you played on Wavedash, there should also be an anonymous leaderboard there based on completion time.

Thanks again for playing and for reporting this 🙏

Ah, I understand now. You should include that in the description: "depending on the cassette you are given during the playthrough". That is much more clear than how it is written there.

I think I got the green one. And what is the difference between them? "The rarer the tape, the deeper the change." What changes? You need to make these things clear unless you intend to keep them mysterious and the player to figure it out. For me right now the only difference is the colour :D

Thanks again for the thoughtful feedback 🙂

You’re right, I’ll clarify the description so the cassette system is easier to understand.

The colours do have gameplay differences, but some of their effects only become noticeable once a run goes a bit further or reaches certain endings. Part of it is intentionally mysterious so players can piece things together over multiple runs 🙂

And a small tip from a fellow player: don’t ignore the green tapes 😉
