The game physics updates at 1000 frames per second, so this isn't as easy as just showing more decimals.
It could be possible to estimate the sub-frame time though
What I was thinking is that if there is a tie or a time difference less that 0 seconds run half speed simulation at/before the finish.
so yea.
I do feel like this is a necessary change as I have gotten more ties than shows above. It would improve player experience but their should be an option to add more detail to keep old times on tracks.
