I have the same trouble with other browser games. It’s probably my computer the problem. I will try the windows version of your game soon. And before the end of the jam of course.

Yeah, that little staircase was a last minute fix for a nav mesh issue, intended to help the 'lives' reach the ending.
The player character can't go up that way in the current build, but it shouldn't be necessary to complete the game.
There's a larger staircase you can get up further back. A jump would've helped here for sure, but would've introduced too much potential to break the rest of the level design to implement near the ending of the jam. :)
