really cool idea, pretty game as well. I like the powerup animations, and like how fast the character runs. The combat system is pretty cool, i do wish you would eventually make this into a dungeon crawler type game where you're a little more incentivsed to kill all the enemies and go through levels, cause with this art style and that combat that would be super fun. Very cool game!

Yeah I'm a Super Nintendo kid myself, but this style of visual brings a twist to those old school RPG's I used to play. I also am super happy with how it turned out as this was my first experiment with 2.5D (I usually stick to 2D). But the lighting options were very nice and I think Godot has even more to offer.
Thanks so much for your extremely kind words! The graphics all came from online assets and asset packs but it still felt great to implement them in the scenes and code.
