I really loved the intro, the animation, voice acting and humor was on point. I wish there was more in terms of feedback on actions, such as a reason to pick one form of torture over another, or a way to gauge the effectiveness of a certain build. Maybe one way to do this would be to have themed waves or souls, or perhaps more control over the process itself. Another issue I felt like there wasn't a particular goal to strive to, like a deadline or a looming threat. The layering of the 2d art in the 3d setup made it difficult to see lanes in the back, and the angle of the art compared to the camera made everything feel more flat. I read the description, and I am sorry to hear you ran out of time, hopefully you are able to complete this project after the jam, definitely a lot of promise.
