Reddit, google, a few actual people as well, though these were voice acting communities and not jamming communities, so thank you for letting me know. I'll be removing/adjusting posts and making note of everything should there be any other misinformed folk I run into, thank you everyone for the info!

Ah I see, its possible the information I've found/been given was outdated or just outright wrong, I was informed that hiring freelancers for a game jam was common practice - but my information sources were not obtained through Game Jam communities themselves.

Are you an experienced Jammer? If so I'd definitely like to ask you a few questions if you have the time, I'm new to the concept of Game Jams both from a voice acting perspective and in general so having someone with first hand experience would be wonderful.

I'm Viktor, a British, character-focused voice actor for indie games, mods, and passion projects.
With a few years of experience behind the mic, I've contributed to a wide range of work including illustrated stories, animation, trailers, NPCs, announcers, and even a fully voiced Arthurian-themed puzzle room. Now I'm looking to lend my voice to new creative teams here on itch.io.

This is it, THE game, mad max references? Check. Twisted metal levels of chaos? Check.
Massive weird and wonderful areas and boss fights AAA would be scared to touch with a 50ft barge pole? CHECK.
