Thank you for playing! I don't know why it's so inconsistent, it should be a 10% drop rate lmao. I've heard some great ideas (chance increasing the longer you don't get one, guaranteed drop every certain amount, etc.) for fixing it tho :P

I 100% agree, actually that's a really good idea, scaling the probability based on kills since last card. That's actually really clean, I'm noting that down. Definitely having one of those "why didn't I think of that" moments rn

Thank you for playing my game, and I'm glad you enjoyed it! I was actually trying to make it so you can drag the cards around, but I couldn't get it working clean before the time ran out lmao. Maybe next round I'll get it done :)

Thank you for playing! I agree with your idea of the first bad guy dropping a card, the 10% drop rate seems like a poor choice in hindsight lmao

Thank you for playing! The cards should have a 10% drop rate, but I've noticed it's a bit inconsistent. I might make something less rng in the future 😅

Thank you! The cards should have a 10% drop rate, but I've noticed it's been really inconsistent 😅 the card are also health 👍

Really cool concept, I like the idea of putting together robots from scrap pieces and seeing them fight. I do wish that I could use certain pieces in different areas, with more impact to the combat system. Also, I think that adding more intrigue to the actual building system (minigames for assembly, walking around to find pieces, etc) would have elevated the customization a lot.

I enjoyed your simple character creator, I especially liked the rotation of the character, while maintaining the simple shapes, very clever. One thing I wish there was would be more distinct customization options.

This was a fun submission. I like how you had to pick between certain traits, and going more in one direction impacted the other traits. Some minor thoughts I had were I think it could be cool to have environments that require you to really think about the changes (like a thin corridor or fast-moving conveyors) and make it so you can only change certain traits in certain area (like a little control booth for size). I also think it could be cool if the amount of each trait impacted the color of the character. Otherwise, really solid submission, I enjoyed collecting the diamonds (13 moves).

I enjoyed this game, I think the bullet hell experience was well put together. I really liked the dual customizations of both the enemies you are facing in the arena and the player. Some thoughts I had on customizations: I wish the changes felt more substantial, either by displaying which changes are active or more impactful effects. I also wish I could add more creatures to the arena, or that there was more risk/reward with getting money at the expense of a more challenging arena.

Really nice entry, I really like the aesthetics, sound design, and overall vibe. I think it was a cool touch that the character turned into a plushy. One minor thing that I thought could be a cool addition is a little more animation when mousing over buttons and letter and stuff. That would make it feel really interactive.

Yeah, later on it does get pretty difficult to collect cards, making the AI avoid it would help. I do want to move away from the current style, but if the next round is "make it vampire survivor-ish", I'll definitely take your feedback into consideration :)

It was great meeting you on stream! I liked the simple, straightforward options for the customizer. I do think adding a little more UI to the sliders to make it clear the ranges and how the classes modify them would be nice.

It was great seeing you on stream! I enjoyed creating the tallest hat possible, can't wait to see how the hats factor into the gameplay :)

It was great seeing you on stream, really enjoyed playing your entry! It was a very relaxing experience. I can't wait to see how the ecosystem is built upon on future iterations (I still wish I could eat the big guys lol)

It was good seeing you on stream, I really enjoyed playing your game (even though I scored really poorly lmao)

I enjoyed playing your game, it reminded me a lot of the angry bird game with the pigs making vehicles. One small change that I think would help a lot would be the ability to rotate the items you attach to the character.

I really liked the visual style and the structure of your customization menu! One thing I wish there was would be more impact to the decisions, like maybe a visual change to the character, or a summary block at the end.

Good seeing you on stream, really enjoyed making unique fireworks!

The pixel art and animations were really beautiful! I look forward to seeing how the rest of the game will turn out :)

Hello! Good seeing you on stream, great work on your game! Loved the amount of customization options you had available for your character :)

Thanks! I'll definitely try your game out, I'll be streaming rating soon, maybe you can watch me play!

Thanks for playing, great time! (anything past 3:30 is crazy lol)

Thank you for playing! I'm glad you liked the color mixing thing (fun fact, one of my scrapped ideas was to make it so that you had to make certain colors to get into certain areas or get certain stuff lmao)

The squares had it coming 😤

Thank you! That's the only visual way to change your character I got to lmao 🤣 crunch time is an idea killer

My best score is 4:10 4:39 :)

Really loved the artwork! Really wished that there were more mechanics/story.

Loved the art and game! Had issues with the audio.

I really liked the animation and the usage of real life sounds. I wish the mechanics of ordering a drink were explained (for those playing you use Z/X/C to order the drink that matches your mood based on the icons in the left bottom corner, I think).

Really liked the animation, music, and menus! Would have liked an ending to the game to work towards though.

Loved the artwork! Wish the game had faster move options and clearer platforms. I'm sorry to hear about the sfx guy ghosting you :(

Thank you! I just kinda wish I finished it :P

Thanks for playing the game! I was planning on putting 10+ hours of work today to properly finish the game/add music+art, but I ended up catching up on some much-needed sleep and watching the solar eclipse. After the judging I will definitely properly finish this game.

Thank you for trying my game! I do plan on making it longer after the judging period :)

Hello! I’m glad you got to play the game!

The crabs motion is like this: they move in one direction until they hit a corner. While in a corner, they have a 50% chance to take a break, a 25% chance to go back the way they came, and a 25% to keep going around the corner.

I debated adding step back, but I decided that it might lead to unfair deaths. Maybe I’ll play around with adding it in the next version.

Checkpoints would be pretty easy to add, the main reason why I didn’t was I wanted to keep it somewhat difficult while keeping it short. Adding checkpoints with the current content would definitely make it too easy. When I make it a bigger game checkpoints will definitely be a must though.

I’m glad you like it, and I really appreciate your feedback! You might see some of it implemented when I start working on it after judging is over :)

Black is walls, red is doors, yellow is candles, blue is skeleton/book. (skeleton is in bottom left, also it is the first of the last two missions).

I’m glad you liked it! I actually built a map making tool early on, and you can technically build any map you’d like with it and just copy and paste it into a variable! I’ll post an image of the in game map here tomorrow 👍

No worries, I just realized that one of the instructions that specified the door color was missing, so that is definitely on me. Completing the ritual is the end of the game, I wish I had more time to add something to make it more final 😅

Thanks for playing my game, sorry for the hassle 😊

PROS: I really enjoyed the art, the map, and the environmental effects.

CONS: The lockpicking and cthulu minigame seemed a little out of place, and the game was very punishing. I didn't really know what to look for and even though I thought I checked every house, I was unable to figure out the next steps. I also encountered a bug where I clipped outside of the map.
