Are those fidget spinners? lol.

It felt really cool getting an unexpected combo of matches and just absolutely deleting an enemy. There's a nice variety of enemies too, and I definitely was not expecting boss fights. I dig the little details, like the wasp floating on screen to immediately differentiate it from the usual fodder. I'm terrible at match-3s, but I did manage to beat her after a few runs by stacking up on max HP a bunch lol.

I know you mentioned wanting to explore how much depth a match-3 could carry, and I think you did a really good job with that here. Even with that focus on systems, this still has a good amount of polish. The feedback when attacks land, or when you get hit, felt good, and the UI communicated what mattered without feeling cluttered or overwhelming. Once I started getting used to the gameplay, it got really interesting. After the wasp fight, I picked the 4+ 50% dmg upgrade choice and it felt like the whole run started to swing in my favor for a sec. Alas though, I went into the next fight a broken man, after the wasp, and was felled hastily lol.

I could've kept playing a lot longer just because I wanted to see what the later bosses and upgrades looked like. I think the match-3 and rougelite elements complement each other well, and I could see this doing really well on mobile.

Thanks!
