First off I looove the atmosphere and the pixel art! Great character design too!
Stream of consciousness feedback:
I appreciated the stretch on the jumping frame, if I could make a suggestion I think it could have benefited from squeezing the character sprite a little!

I struggled with the dialog system, looked like it was stuck in an infinite loop since it keeps typing over and over if you don't click ahead; and it took me a while to figure out how to progress it or close it since clicking isn't really part of the controls up to that point, nor is the ESC key.

I think the platforming could have benefited from a little (more?) coyote time, but it wasn't critical. Just would have made climbing up to the skeleton a bit smoother

The ladder implementation was VERY jarring, I really struggled to make it up that thing. idk if it's because of my screen size or what but it was very inconsistent for some reason

I like the idea of gathering ingredients for a brew but as a player I didn't really feel like I was hunting for anything since everything just was granted to me through pots that all looked the same. Functionally it felt less like I was gathering potion ingredients and more like I had saved up enough gold to buy my way past the skeleton. Maybe if I had to farm specific enemies for certain ingredients instead?

I liked the music!

Overall though I think the presentation is very nice and you did a great job!


Thanks for the feedback and for the full walkthrough! You're right, I should have mentioned the dialogue controls in the description. The game may have bugs, as I'm a newbie and this is only my second game. I'll leave feedback on your game when I have some free time.
