I decided to try this out because I'm working on my own little mini golf game with Godot, and I have to say I'm really impressed! The graphics are honestly so beautiful and calming, it's actually kind of Monument Valley vibes. Each course is visually very striking and the whole game is stylish. Though I would say it becomes less relaxing and a little more frustrating once moving platforms and lasers are introduced since the timing starts becoming important. I still got a decent amount of birdies and eagles on those levels, though!

I'm genuinely a bit curious how the pathfinding guide is done, it's really cool. It does let you set up shots that would be pretty unrealistic to expect someone to calculate without the guide, so it's a neat mechanic. I feel like I've kind of struggled with getting physics accurate and consistent. Do you have like an invisible rigid body that actually simulates the shot while aiming, or is it just math? I guess it all boils down to math.

Hey ! Thanks for the comments and your time and feedbacks on the game. Yeah the game started chill and maybe today the chilly part of the name isn't so true anymore :D

To be honest, I don't remember how I handle the guide mechanic. I can't recall if the devlog by Jason Knight on his game Isoputt helped me. Or if I just used the move_and_collide with test_only to true (Godot 4.2). I think I actually simulate the shot to be certain the prediction is 100% correct.

Hope this helps !
