i mean , hypothetically, i would draw it myself and im sure hundreds of other artists also would for a very low price, or even no price at all. however the author didn't even attempt at finding someone willing to take on the job and went straight to a clanker. there are so many things wrong with ai in general and using it in the creative industry should be an absolute last resort. im just upset they chose to use it when the art couldve had so much potential.

Hypothetically it all sounds absolutely wonderful. In practice, though, almost no one is lining up to work for free - especially skilled artists who can actually produce high-quality sprites and CG. Most of them, shockingly, expect to be paid for their work.
And if the artist’s work is… let’s say, not exactly impressive, then honestly, you’re often better off using AI than releasing a game with visuals that barely scrape a passing grade. Because if the art looks bad, people simply won’t download the game. Very few people actually want to look at clunky, unappealing visuals. Simple as that.

I really don’t get why it bothers you so much that the author used AI, when they literally state it everywhere. There’s even a warning about it right at the start of the game - so it’s not like anyone’s being tricked here.

I won't even bother with you but one thing I will say is AI images will always look more clunky and unappealing than any art made by a human.

It depends on the artist’s skills. If it’s a beginner or an amateur artist who doesn’t understand anatomy at all, then even AI will look better in comparison. We need to be realistic.

Skilled artists would never agree to draw for free because they value their time and work.
