I liked this! I couldn't actually brew any tea though. I had the tea leaves but couldn't brew a simple black tea to use in a nocturnal recipe. But I like the idea of going out to explore to get your ingredients and coming back to brew. Definitely has the same feeling of Dave the diver and domekeeper but in an old school legend of zelda-esque vibe. Even if the game didn't work, it was cool! Good job.

No problem! I'll give it another go just to experience the game and see if I can make some progress. Also small tip, try to keep the entry/exit direction consistent in this type of game. If I have to press UP to leave the house, I shouldn't then have to press UP again to come back in because then I'll likely just walk out of the shop and go straight back in (which happened). I should be able to hold a direction when leaving/entering and not have it ping pong back and forth.
Oh yeah, I know the change of direction is screwy, but I was pushing my luck with the deadline and decided I didn't have time to fix it. It probably isn't worth a second play, but if you do give it another go, make sure you put your supplies in the chest before trying to brew anything (that's the only thing I can think that caused your bug). Another annoying thing I did, but then didn't have time to undo was making it so everything has to be in the chest before brewing anything, but teas must be in your inventory before handing over to the customer :/
