This is wild. I was a huge My Singing Monsters fan when I was younger, and I have for the LONGEST time had an idea for a merge-type game where each successive evolution plays a different tune in a band. So strange to see this niche idea in reality, by someone else. But congrats on beating me to it :)

Besides all that, really nice game! I love the animal designs and how they combine with musical instruments. I liked the use of the palette in the setting as well. I laughed out loud when the frog did the amogus.

One issue I had: When I clicked the tree or moved creatures around, the music got crackly and cut out. Maybe just my potato laptop...

Thanks so much! I definitely encourage still going for the idea yourself, there are quite a few hurdles we didn’t anticipate from the idea alone. Making each melody of an instrument different in isolation but not sound cacophonous all together took several iterations. And making the merge tiers rewarding also took a couple tries.

Good to know it was crackling for you. We had to try and balance the audio buffer size with the lag it produced - reducing the chance of crackling on some browsers (larger buffer) meant a higher chance of the audio being out of sync. Was definitely hard to get right in all circumstance :/
