Regardless what change I make to my pages, my games always get de-indexed automatically. That happens with game updates. It ALSO happens if I simply make one word on my game's page bold. And after that, I have to wait three or four weeks before it gets indexed again. And in the meantime, players of my games report to me that itch says that there is suspicious activity on my games' pages.

I know that there is an automated detection system, and that itch is not telling us what it detects. But if "just making one word on a game's page bold" counts as suspicious activity, I have to assume that it doesn't matter what I do on one of my games' pages, it is always suspicious. Perhaps it is because I am in Europe and not in the US? Or maybe my name is spelled in a way that itch does not like? Or maybe the fact that I once asked itch (in a polite way, mind you) if they could do something about all the spam comments that my pages get?

that there is suspicious activity on my games' pages

That would mean, your games are not delisted as such. They are quarantined. Delisting is a side effect. Using a vpn a lot might trigger that. Basically the automatic always thinks your account is hacked and they cannot affort to "protect" accounts against this detection, becaue there really are a lot of hacked accounts. That would be my guess about your situation.

I am not using a VPN, so that is not it. If they would inform me about what triggers this, I could do something about it. But they keep that a secret.

I am now wondering whether it is something in the Ren'Py generated APK files. I had one player tell me that their virus scanner reported problems with it, and a search on the internet showed me that some virus scanners do that, but it is a false positive. However, if itch has a system that triggers in the same way, it would explain why any change causes them to quarantaine my games (and other people's games as well). If that is the case, then perhaps using a different Ren'Py version would resolve the issue (I am currently on 8.3.7). I would try this, but the problem is that I am putting my games in quarantaine again if it is something different. If only itch would tell me what the issue is...
