“Why”

I really liked the art style, especially the CRT effect, which was a really cool touch. The voice acted sections were also very well done, and the story was interesting overall. That said, if I’m being honest, the plot kind of lost me after the diner. It felt like the game took a sudden 180 degree turn, and I think it would benefit from more buildup leading into that shift. The ending was a bit abrupt as well.

It’s also really cool that you added a driving mechanic! I had a lot of fun driving around, although it was a bit buggy. It took me four attempts to complete the game because my car kept falling through the map into the void. I ended up having to drive very slowly just to reach the diner and finish the later driving section.

Another thing I noticed is that some of the text was a bit hard to read with the CRT effect applied. This wasn’t an issue during the voice acted sections, but it did make the non voiced lines harder to follow.

Finally, I’m only mentioning this because I had to replay the intro several times, but having an option to skip the opening title cards would be really helpful. It wasn’t a huge problem on my first run, but after multiple restarts, it started to feel a bit long.

Overall, great work! You managed to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time.

Congrats!

Thank you so much and also its an honor having you comment on my page knowing that "you" are the creator of  the deadman's stretch, the first game i ever tested was your game, it was so fun and the fact it never leaned to much to the jumpscares and only the feeling you get when you dont know when the jumpscare is going to be there making you all paranoid, also i love the fact the killer asks you to jump or not the game overall gives you choices

thxxx for the comment!! :3
