The numbers show you nearby mines, like in Minesweeper! It's basically match 3 but using Minesweeper mechanics (and you can only match mines)

It is pretty. I'd recommend toning down the CRT effect a bit though as it makes it hard for my old eyes to read.
I still don't really get what is going on. A tutorial or some basic help instructions would really help.
I feel like I've had mines next to 0's before -- do they count diagonals? Showing the mines after you lose would really help me understand how the game works.

I really love the radar even if I can't get it to work for me :)

Wow awesome, honestly that made all of the difference.
As it turns out, I was trying to match 2, somehow thinking I was supposed to hit two mines together, now it seems obvious I am trying to match three bombs. Just showing the bombs at the end made all of the difference in figuring that out!
Also with the CRT effect reduced the graphics you made really shine better :)
