I had the chance to make the game more challenging by tweaking the numbers, but I was worried that not everyone is familiar with this genre and many wouldn't be able to fully appreciate the game
Absolutely the right decision in my opinion to make it easier rather than harder. And it gives people more opportunity to see more of what you worked on.
