It has been a good while since the last update. I really hope the devs didn't forget or abandon it.

They're working on it, but on the side, it's not their main work, we all need money, and you can't just sell a game that is not your IP.
It's a remake of a discontinued project made not by one company but a group of indie devs that were mostly anonymous.
Collective Shout is trying to do damage on things, but the OG's cannot sue the remake team for monetizing
